Esha-Avantha Naidoo
True representation is just now starting to show promise in the beauty industry, and Esha has experienced firsthand the historical lack of options for women of color. She’s of South African descent and grew up often being the only “brown girl” in her Australian neighborhood, she recalls. As she got older, she began modeling and quickly realized that makeup artists on shoots rarely knew how to do her glam properly. Often times, there wouldn’t even be appropriate shades and palettes on hand for her complexion —an uncomfortable but common occurrence for women of color on set. This inspired Esha to become a makeup artist herself in an effort to keep this from happening in the future. Her point of expertise? Esha can achieve a killer look on women of all skin tones! A true fashion and beauty lover (follow her on Instagram for head-to-toe style inspiration) she’s a muse to many and a gem-of-a-find from our open casting journey!

Women are so misrepresented as a whole so, to see so many different types of women in one room was incredible.
