On Our Playlist: 19 Tracks That Rock the Crib
When it comes to utilizing music to create everlasting memories, Lindsay Luv is an expert. As Equinox’s music director and the DJ of choice for fashion events all around Los Angeles, she’s constantly being tasked with establishing an atmosphere representative of the affair. The most challenging gig of this music maven’s life, though, didn’t happen runway-side or behind the decks at the hottest Hollywood club. Rather, the ultimate endeavor for Lindsay came when it was time to set the tone that would capture the most important moment of her life, the birth of her daughter.
After 30 hours of labor and a last-minute C-section, London Grey Brennan was born to "Rumble" by Link Wray followed by fitting tracks such as "Born to Be Wild" by Steppenwolf, "Endless Sleeper" by family friends The Raveonettes, and "Heart of Gold" by Neil Young. Lindsay had carefully curated her playlist in advance, and her husband, as directed, geared up the tunes when the time came. “This was the best part of an otherwise arduous labor, as every time I hear this playlist, it’s like I am reliving the soundtrack of the greatest moment of my life,” Lindsay explains.

Music continues to be an intrinsic role in the relationship between this Good Mama and her baby girl, with the female greats from Stevie Nicks to Karen O being the women Lindsay can’t wait to teach little London about. “I know that she will always be surrounded by music with me as her mother; We have speakers in every room in the house!” Lindsay shares. “Plus, I have an insane vinyl collection and plan to DJ for as long as I’m in demand, so hopefully she will kick it in the booth with me soon enough! And our closest family friend also runs a great business called Guitar Ninjas for kids so we plan to introduce her to that when ready too!”
In the meantime, London will be rocked to sleep to the sounds of some of Lindsay’s favorites, and we’ll be turning to her go-tos for our own evening wind-down as well! “This is the ultimate nursery soundtrack designed to put your baby to sleep without killing your own vibe! If I am going to hear the same songs over and over at least let them be great!” says Lindsay. Give her picks a go with the playlist below!
