What are the most important qualities you look for in a member of your Good Squad?
Authenticity, a voice, a style all their own.
To you – who is denim goals?
Sade.
What shows are you currently binge-watching? Any books you’re reading?
I’m staving off of TV at the moment but when I am watching, it's either the news or The Affair on Showtime. I’m currently reading “Tell Me How Long the Train's Been Gone” by James Baldwin.
What songs are currently playing on your stereo?
I’m currently listening to a lot of Sampha, Famous Dex, and Lucki.
You are very proud of your skin and how you care for it – tell us about your morning & nightly regimen.
In the morning, I use a makeup wipe to take off any residual mascara and then cleanse my skin with a milk cleanser by Biologique Recherché and then another cleanser by Belif. I really enjoy squeaky clean skin. I follow that with Biologique’s famous P50 toner, it is stinky but is heaven for the skin. I tap a bit of Boscia eye cream under the eyes and follow with Glossier’s new Rich Priming moisturizer. I finish with a generous spritz of Rose water and a swipe of Rodin lip salve . I pretty much do the same thing at night with a few more tonics from Biologique around the eyes and the addition of my beloved face oil, Sunday Riley “Luna”.
You’ve lived both in New York & LA – what’s the biggest difference to you? Does the city affect how you style denim?
I think both effect me. I think I refined my style in NYC, really sunk into my boots. In LA, I’m a bit more feminine with my styling I find. In NYC, I look for a more well rounded outfit; one that I can do anything in.
Tell us about your relationship with Pat McGrath and her brand? She’s such a legend, it seems like a complete dream come true!
Pat has been instrumental in my career and I am always in awe of her handwork and contribution to not only my life, but fashion as a whole.
What’s the best advice you’ve been given?
Always know your worth.
What are your favorite NYC workouts? What’s your ideal workout wardrobe?
I love working out with my trainer, Joe Holder at S10. If I’m not with him at New York Pilates or Barr3. I love a highwaisted legging and sports bra moment, with a face snatching ballerina bun.
What does the idea of a ‘Good American girl’ mean to you?
An independent woman who lives by her own rules and doctrines.
